8-a-side Veterans — Matchday 1 Round-up

Matchday 1 of the 8-a-side Veterans division served up plenty of goals and drama across four entertaining fixtures.

Bola Bola Api FC dominated Melville FC in an emphatic 5-2 victory, with Shawn Yeo's early brace setting the tone after Nabeel Akif had given Melville the perfect start. Mohamad Helmi Bin Mohamad, Kelvin Au, and Hazlee Bin Suip extended the hosts' lead before Hafiz Ishak's late consolation came too little too late.

Capella FC and XCPG served up a thrilling 3-3 draw, with own goals from Capella's defence proving costly in a chaotic opening ten minutes. Norfahazly Bin Kamsan's double and Muhammad Faiezad Bin Ahmad Senin's second-half strike secured a point for Capella, while Rozaiman Misrawi's efforts and two own goals kept XCPG in the contest throughout.

Mexican Aces FC showed clinical finishing to demolish O-Beast FC 4-0, with goals from Vijayachandran s/o Chandrasegaran, Muhammad Daud Bin Abdul Aziz, Mohammed Iqbal Bin Abdul Samad, and Naresh s/o Govinadhan sealing a convincing shutout victory.

Torpedo Rovers FC edged past BooZebonitoz FC 1-0, courtesy of a goal from Suhari Muslim Bin Mustaffa in the 40th minute to claim the only narrow result of the day.
